Saved Games in December: Discovery Odds Are Shifting

Why It Matters
Saved does not mean safe. Categories change fast. On Twitch, you can do everything right and still get buried if the category is stacked against small channels. The problem is that a game can look reasonable when you save it, then quietly shift by the time you actually go live. Your content did not change. The directory did.
What We Saw in December
Resident Evil 2, RV There Yet?, Trackmania, and Among Us were all games that sat in the middle of the pack for Browse in December. Not obvious home runs, not instant dead ends either. They showed up for a lot of streamers largely because they fit their vibe and avoid list, and streamers were willing to save them.
What Changed Over the Month
As December progressed, Trackmania and Among Us became more 'discovery friendly' for small channels. RV There Yet? and Resident Evil 2 went the other direction and got noticeably harder. This is the part that matters most: the game did not change, but the directory conditions did.

- Whether those viewers are spread out across many channels or piled onto a few big ones.
When a category gets top heavy or crowded, small channels get buried. When viewers are more spread out, you have a more realistic chance to surface naturally on Browse.
So What?
If one of your saved games is trending upward, it is usually worth testing sooner while conditions are opening up. If one is trending downward, either shelve it for now or treat it as a passion pick and stream it only when you are fine with lower discovery.
