StreamGist respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our website and services. This policy applies to www.streamgist.com and related pages we host. StreamGist LLC ("StreamGist") is the data controller.

StreamGist collects and analyzes a combination of publicly available, user-submitted, and behavioral data to deliver personalized insights and improve our service. This includes:

• Public data from Twitch's public API.
• Game metadata from IGDB.com.
• User-submitted information, including email address, onboarding preferences, and streaming platform details.
• User interaction data, such as skipped games, streamed games, page visits, feature usage, interactions with clearly labeled paid demand tests, and other standard behavioral data collected during your use of the site.
• If attribution is enabled, allowlisted campaign and referral details such as UTM parameters, Google click IDs, first referrer, and first landing page.

We may also use anonymized and de-identified data to generate insights using third-party services like OpenAI. No personally identifiable information is shared externally. All such data is processed securely and in accordance with internal privacy standards. We host our marketing site on DigitalOcean and may process form submissions through StreamGist-operated infrastructure.

We use Plausible Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage and site performance. These services do not use cookies or persistent browser identifiers for this measurement. We do not use Google Analytics, browser-side Google advertising tags, cross-site tracking, or retargeting.

3. To communicate important updates, technical notices, or account-related messages.
4. To analyze aggregate trends that inform product direction and platform improvements, and to create aggregated, de-identified insights and reports that we may share with or provide to partners such as game studios. These insights never identify any individual streamer.
5. To protect our forms and services from abuse and fraud, including via Google reCAPTCHA.
6. With your consent, we may send you occasional marketing emails.

You can opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in the email footer.

If you purchase a paid feature, payment will be processed securely through our third-party provider, Stripe. StreamGist does not store or directly process your payment details. All purchases are subject to the Refund Policy outlined in our Terms of Use.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share aggregated, de-identified insights that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, such as overall trends in which kinds of games streamers save or skip, with partners such as game studios; these insights never include your personal information or identify any individual streamer. We only disclose personal data when required to comply with legal obligations or protect the rights and safety of StreamGist or its users. We use carefully selected processors who act on our behalf under data processing terms. See "Vendors & Sub-processors" below.

Required cookies support account access, security, payments, and requested product features. Optional first-party campaign cookies remember allowlisted referral tags and Google click IDs for up to 90 days, carry them through signup, and let us report qualifying product outcomes to Google Ads. We use this information to measure whether ads lead to useful StreamGist activity, not for retargeting or advertising profiles.

In regions where affirmative consent is required, campaign measurement remains off until you allow it. In other regions, a first-visit notice explains that limited measurement is on by default and provides a direct way to turn it off. Global Privacy Control also turns campaign measurement off. You can change your setting anytime through the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. Plausible and Cloudflare aggregate analytics remain cookie-free and are not controlled by this setting.

Privacy choices: StreamGist provides its own controls for first-party campaign measurement. The shared receipt distinguishes an affirmative grant, a disclosed regional baseline, and a denial; it is shared by www.streamgist.com and app.streamgist.com so both surfaces apply the same setting. A later opt-out overrides an earlier grant or baseline.

Google reCAPTCHA: We use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse of our forms. reCAPTCHA may analyze device/usage data to distinguish humans from bots. Use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms. Our legal basis is legitimate interests in securing the service.

5. OpenAI (processing user-submitted content to generate insights).

7. Twitch API / IGDB (ingesting public data for product features).

We may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers from the EU/UK to third countries.

We keep account data while your account is active and then for a limited period for recordkeeping/security. Optional attribution cookies expire after 90 days, and privacy choices expire after 180 days. Plausible analytics follows Plausible's retention settings. We retain de-identified/aggregated data for product improvement.

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, no system is completely immune to breaches. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Measures include encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access to production systems.

Dashboard controls: You can access/update certain profile data in your StreamGist dashboard and delete your account using our self-service deletion tool. We may retain de-identified/aggregated data after deletion.

Cookies & consent: Manage consent anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

EU/UK rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

US state privacy: depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and receive information about our data practices, and to opt-out of "sale" / "sharing" as defined by law. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can contact us to exercise rights.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will notify you via email or a notice on the StreamGist platform.
